RARE FRUIT
The Arken Library in Örnsköldsvik, 2024
RARE FRUIT is a creation of the imagination and is not based on a real fruit. It is kind but also unusual. From the character of the shell, kernels and shoots, one would think that it exists in reality.
This is a secluded, exciting and cozy place, while at the same time it can encourage your own exploration of real plants and places on earth. It can also be a starting point for developing your own fantasy plants.
You can dream about fruits, plants and animals that you have never seen, and that perhaps no one has yet discovered.
The entire installation is held together by a color scale that goes tone by tone to avoid a messy impression, while at the same time it stands out as a bit special in color in relation to the rest of the room.
Materials and design are made so that it can be durable and cared for over time, but still with soft textiles and undulating, organic shapes.
