Film and sound installation, Plyfa, Malmö, Sweden.
THE ECLIPSE, 1999.
Videoinstallation, 5 min. loop.
“It was like pouring ink into a glass of water”. When I was ten years old I met a man who told me what it looked like when he turned blind. When envisioning this project, I saw it as a metaphor for how people are incapable of meeting and understanding one another, mainly because each is at the center of their own little universe.
16 mm film loop. A relational drama in b/w. Sound from a beat up editing table.
KING SIZE INTERMEZZO, 1996.
Installation. A 12 m2 space was turned into a still of a movie cliché. There was a kingsize bed and an intermezzo had been taken place. The audience could enter the film still/installation to witness the aftermath.
LUCKY TOURS, 2000
b/w Super-8 film. A 48 hour bus ride from Oakland to Reno. A few slots were included but no hotel. Gambling and free drinking around the clock.
MIKE, ORAN, INAM & CHRIS 1997.
Videoinstallation. Portraits of four young men in San Francisco.
